Biography

Berlin-based producer and DJ tibitrap has been shaping his sound since 2012, when he first began experimenting with FL Studio at just 13 years old. With a background in classical piano and percussion, tibitrap brings a strong sense of rhythm and musicality to his productions—bridging the technical discipline of musicianship with the raw energy of electronic music.While originally a trap producer, tibitrap has been exploring a wide spectrum of styles, including jersey club, house, jungle, afro house, and kuduro. His versatility has led to collaborations with artists like Caio Colucci, Youngk, and *maliiik, while his latest release, Enter Galactic (tibitrap jersey remix) —a reimagining of Kid Cudi’s iconic track—showcases his forward-thinking take on remix culture.Since stepping behind the decks in 2020, tibitrap has built a reputation for powerful, eclectic sets. Alongside his solo work, he is also an active DJ in the Berlin-based afro and afro-diasporic music collective SACODE, further expanding his footprint in the city’s vibrant underground scene. His ability to move seamlessly across genres has taken him to stages across Germany, at ACUD CLUB, Bucht der Träumer* (BdT), and Karneval der Kulturen (KdK), among others, earning him a reputation for both versatility and crowd connection.With more than a decade of production experience, a steadily growing performance history, and a distinct sound rooted in rhythm and energy, tibitrap is an emergent force in Berlin’s underground scene.
